Beach Point, North Truro, offers one of the best vantage points for Outer Cape sunsets. I spend 8 months each year in one of Shore Road's iconic, vintage Beach Point cottages. Many initially built in the 40's as simple shacks for vacationing fishermen. All of the miraculous manifestations of the "Golden Hour" can be found here, on this narrow spit of sand: a silhouetted and stately Pilgrim Monument, the Truro "sunset fires" of the Big Houses on the bluffs to west, and the gilded humble dwellings hugging the shoreline.
